We were moved not just by the destruction, but by the resilience of the people who call this place home. We saw a community determined to rebuild, and we knew God was inviting us to stay and walk alongside them. That’s why we continue to return—not only to support disaster recovery efforts, but also to invest in the long-term renewal of this city.

There’s still much to be done. Many homes need repairs to make them safe and livable again. Local churches are caring for families who continue to struggle. And new opportunities are opening up, like our partnership with a local church where we’ve started a garden that provides fresh food to the community. Projects like these remind us that God’s mission is bigger than one storm—He’s bringing life, healing, and hope to Asheville in countless ways.

Mission Discovery trips aim to help developing communities. Teams of volunteers build homes for families in need, love on orphans, feed the hungry, clothe and educate school children, provide medical care and empower churches to bring hope to their communities.

Mission Discovery teams serve as:

Learners: Our missionary teams come to discover what God is doing in the world and get involved. We come by invitation, not invasion. We come not to teach but to learn.

Servants: Our missionary work teams come not to be served but to serve in the same way the Lord Jesus Christ came as a servant and friend.

Story Tellers: Everyone has a unique story to tell about his or her journey with God. We believe that your story is important in helping others.
