Midweek Meals & Seminars
On September 25, we kick off this season with learning about the seminar options, worshipping together, and have a time to connect with the seminar leaders. Meet in the chapel at 6:30 to learn more about the seminars listed below.
We are offering 4 different seminar options that run different weeks throughout October 2-October 30th. Please select which seminars and which weeks you are intending to join us for. Each seminar session will start at 6:30pm and conclude at 8pm.
We will be offering a meal each week prior to the seminars on September 25th thru October 30th. Meals will be served from 5:30pm – 6:15pm. Meals are $6 per person, pay by cash or check only in person (ages 3 and under are free). Menus will be posted prior to each week.
Please be sure to include how many children in your household preschool and younger will be needing childcare. This will help us determine how many kids volunteers we need to staff!
Grieving Well
Led by a Licensed Professional Counselor, this 4 week series will explore the basics of the latest neuroscience/brain research regarding grief and loss and give practical tools for the grief process. Participants will better understand: · what grief is · why it impacts one’s life so significantly · how to process, heal and find a “new normal” after loss · and how to better support others in mourning.
The Tech-Wise Family
Making conscientious choices about technology in our families is more than just using internet filters and determining screen time limits for our children. It’s about developing wisdom, character, and courage in the way we use digital media rather than accepting technology’s promises of ease, instant gratification, and the world’s knowledge at our fingertips. And it’s definitely not just about the kids.
Next Steps Gathering
Over three weeks, we will explore important distinctions of Manor Church. You will learn about faith in Christ, reading scripture, baptism, spiritual gifts, serving, and giving. There are no strings attached and you will grow in your understanding of these important areas of faith. This seminar will also prepare you for church membership when you are ready.
Managing Money God’s Way
Learn basic principles to glorify God by establishing spiritual and financial goals, using credit wisely, eliminating debt, preparing for hidden expenses, and making sound financial decisions. This basic two-week seminar will help you to learn to manage your money in a way that reflects a commitment to Jesus.
